For these backstops, a compression machine was developed that forces the foam sections into layers during the entire assembly process.

This “preload” creates tension in the targets, making the foam layers much more durable in use.

Each backstop is pre-compressed to a minimum of 2000 kg (depending on the size) and maintained under tension with Kevlar-reinforced straps.

We recommend these backstops for any type of bow; however, as with all laminated foam backstops, care should be taken if they weaken with use (e.g., use a back net behind, etc.).
