Description

The GRAY HAWK artificial feathers are innovative feathers. Using tangential feather technology, the feather utilizes the natural helical shape that forms when wrapped around the arrow shaft. This makes the GRAY HAWK feathers easier to install and more consistent than normal helical feathers.

The feathers are made of a lightweight, rigid, and tear-resistant material that adheres well to the provided double-sided adhesive tape.

The feather shape also offers an advantage over helical feathers by using long fixation tabs. This ensures that when applying the fletching tape, the shape of the feather does not bend or distort like other curved feathers, providing more consistent flight between arrows.

Each pack contains 50 feathers. One sheet of Fletch Tape and 60 strips of double-sided adhesive tape.

Weight of each feather: 12g per 10 feathers.

Fletching Instructions:

• Ensure your hands are free of dirt and oil.
• Clean the shaft with an alcohol-based disinfectant to remove all oil/dirt.
• Using a fine-tipped pen, draw 3 lines, approximately 25mm to 32mm from the valley of the nock, evenly spaced at 120˚ separation, with a length of 52mm.
• The drag line or compensation level should be about 2˚, depending on how the arrow naturally spins from the bow without fletching. For clockwise rotation, draw the line in the positive direction; for counterclockwise rotation, draw the line in the negative direction.
• Remove a strip of double-sided adhesive tape from the wax paper. Apply the 3 strips of tape along the 3 lines. Remove the red plastic film. Place the feather along the tape. Once applied, use a round plastic or steel tube, such as the cap of a pen or the tip of an arrow, to rub and apply pressure to the feather to ensure a good bond.
• Take a piece of colored fletching tape and wrap it twice around the shaft at each end of the fletching. Make sure the tape ends are cut, not torn, as this will reduce adhesion. Rotate the strike to ensure proper clearance.
